I would have to Agree

"Variety is good" according to Hef and the makers of Guitar Hero 5. Probably the greatest rhythmic video game ever, Guitar Hero is unveiling a new version with tons of songs from more artists than every with their quote that "variety is good" because people want more to choose from in their song selection. Activision has given into the demand in Guitar Hero 5 by unleashing 85 songs from 83 artists. With different styles of rock music to choose from, they anticipate that more people will like this version even more than previous ones. Also when you purchase Guitar Hero 5 now, you can also get the Van Halen bonus. Tons of new features are being introduced with this new version as well including Rock with your Avatar if you have Wii or Xbox 360. Check out all the new features of this game at hub.guitarhero.com/.

Guild Wars 2

After tons of expansions to the first Guild Wars, Arenanet has decided to create a new game altogether, instead of expanding even more. Guild Wars 2 looks to bring entirely new game play, and far better graphics than before. Character development is designed to be entirely different as well with this sequel, along with a new game engine and PvP system. Although I quit playing when expansions started rolling out after lvling to 20, which took no time at all, I have found myself quite interested in the new Guild Wars 2, particularly with the new character development. I am anxious to see if they will make leveling harder or at least go to a higher level and add more interesting class features and abilities than before. Look for many new classes and races to be available with the new Guild Wars as well. To break the monotony of expanding, I will be looking to purchase the new Guild Wars 2 when it reaches stores. In the meantime check out a preview of some of the new stuff that will appear in this hot new sequel.

Diablo III

For anyone that loved the classic Diablo games or anyone who likes a good RPG, Diablo III is sure to become a hot new game in your gaming arsenal. Blizzard is still not sure when this game will be due to be released, but the makings of it are beginning to unfold with new classes being released for the public to view. The Wizard, Barbarian, and some new classes including Witch Doctor and Monk. The new game style that is brought to the table in this game is enough to make Diablo fans excited but it is the new graphics in this game that is sure to attract a bigger crowd. If you remember from Diablo I or II the graphics weren't the best, at least compared to now. The graphics have been redone however, giving the game a better look, and making the gaming experience that much better. With the new classes being created, Blizzard is also in the stages of creating some cool new monsters to battle along with a good scenario to go right along with it. Although I doubt we'll see many of the monsters so as not to spoil the fun, there are a few previews of the different classes to check out while we wait for the game to be released. I realize there are a lot of videos here but believe me when I say they are worth checking out if you are a fan of this series.

Gamer

New movie for gamers coming out soon, creatively called Gamer. Similar to Death Race, Gamer is based on prisoners that are on death row who are used as part of a video game. Each death row inmate is literally played by a gamer. The incentive for the inmates to play is freedom, the same as in Death Race. Inmates must survive 30 battles with the gamer controlling them in order to be set free. Unlike a video game, there is no reset button, and definitely no respawn. Surviving 30 battles means freedom for the inmate, and of course I'm sure, as in Death Race, they don't actually intend to let a convict go free. People from all over the world watch the action as they pay to see the battles, which is the ultimate reason for making this event, to cash in. Gamer looks to bring a lot of intense action to the big screen which all gamers love to see and the fact that it is a gaming movie makes it that much better. Check out the trailer here and tell me if you agree.

Prototype

As a city drastically changes from the release of a deadly, mutating virus, a shape-shifter known as Alex Mercer, is changing right along with it, gaining powers as he consumes more and different types of the virus. Unfortunately he has no memory of what happened and must gain memory of the incident back through absorbing enemies and military units. This absorption power is also how he gains some intense shape-shifting powers and he grows stronger as he gains experience and absorbs the right people. Stealing powers and defeating enemies unlocks new abilities purchased through experience points or gained directly from the enemies. These powers gained allow Alex to shape his body into new weapons used to defeat enemies as well as learn how to take over enemy vehicles such as tanks and helicopters. The action in this game is always intense so there is never a dull moment from start to finish. Check out the top ten reasons that you need to get this game if you haven't already.

Amazing Flight Game

H.A.W.X. by far is the best flight simulator I have ever played. Staged in 2014, at a time when there is nothing but private armies, H.A.W.X. brings some intense fire fights in the skies where the only rule is to stay alive. Available for Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii, this game is by far some great fun at a very affordable prices, especially for any fans of flight simulator games. You know this game is going to be good as it is brought to you by the famous Tom Clancy, creator of Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, and Splinter Cell. The greatest thing about H.A.W.X. is its awesome online play where you can enter dogfights in team deathmatch with up to 8 people. Continuous play allows you to earn more cash to spend on new equipment and weapons. Check out the intense action here:

WoW: Yet Another Expansion!

So after reaching 80, getting all the new gear, and doing a bit of hardcore raiding, you hear the word that you're just not ready for, again. Expansion! World of Warcraft has announced yet another expansion and while most people didn't really like the idea of the last one, this one is by far the best for WoW in my opinion. In this expanion the dreaded Deathwing is said to have ravaged the lands while focus was drawn toward the Lich King, changing Azeroth for good. All the old territories are changing, even the Barrens has been split right in half. Maybe this will help get rid of the annoying Barrens chat.... Wishful thinking but unlikely. Anyway, Blizzard has decided to raise the level cap to 85, give each side one new class, add a couple new features, and a whole bunch of quests. While Wrath of the Lich King didn't seem like much of a big deal, WoW: Cataclysm brings so much to the table with cool new creatures, amazing graphics, and some interesting new features. All over, Azeroth is changing, causing the Horde and Alliance to fight for good land after Deathwing's attacks. Not only will Azeroth be completely changed, but that big swirling thing in the middle of the map you always see and try so hard to swim to but never can cuz you are killed before you can make it.... Well that is where Deathwing is supposed to be from and there is sure to be some adventuring made possible there now. This is actually the first WoW Expansion that I have been looking forward to so check it out and tell me if you feel the same way.

Final Fantasy XIII

Although after X-2, when the Final Fantasy's began to lose their touch, Final Fantasy XIII looks to restore that old FF feel that was thought to be lost. Arguably the greatest RPG game, the long lasting Final Fantasy is releasing yet another game to add to the series with all new characters, game style, and more. Although the game will still largely be turn based, there is a huge change to the style. Now instead of the usual turn based style, the game has taken a new twist, making it "time-based" as well causing the player to need to control each player specifically a little more than the usual "wait for your turn, ok attack, ok your turn" deal. The game is also largely combo based, causing more damage with the correct team work, timing, and attacks. Although the game seems to have become more complicated, it will surely make it more interesting and more than likely a lot funner to play. XIII still looks to include Aeons, the summonable creatures, to help you fight although they look noticably different, each one seeming part robotic. You can also expect to see some cool online features when this comes out for PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. This game was said to release some time in 2009 but may be delayed quite a bit from coming to the US. Most likely this game will be available in the US in 2010, hopefully not later as many can't wait for its release.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is arguably the best first person shooter game that has been released. The only game that compares is Halo 3 and in my opinion, still doesn't even come close. CoD 4 has brought the best multiplayer first person shooter action to the Xbox 360 and will only improve with the release of Modern Warfare 2. Pre-orders have already begun with the release of this game coming November 10th. If you haven't played the first Modern Warfare, I highly suggest getting it and checking it out so when the next one comes out, you know your general layout plus where this great game has stemmed from. Check out the preview:

If you are a member of BestBuy's Reward zone program, don't forget to take advantage of there newest promotional reward. If you pre-order Modern Warfare 2 at BestBuy, you can get $10 off any Xbox360 game $30 and up.

Gamerz

I figured I would start out with something simple and share what this blog is about. I hope to keep all you gamerz up to date with the latest game and technology information, releases, and so forth. All though I may not cover everything, I do aim to try to cover as much as I humanly can, mainly what I enjoy the most, while still maintaining a life, my job, and my girlfriend of course. Gaming is an awesome thing, but it is something that should still be taken in moderation. I hope to bring to the table as much information about games as I possibly can, both new and old, so as you do not have to waste time searching through which games you think you should get. I mean if it is something you have to balance around with the rest of your life, why waste more time than needed to find out which games really are the best.

I currently have an Xbox 360 and PC which I play a lot of games on, although the PC needs some work. As long as the game is fun, I think I would be fine playing on any technological device to be honest. I have played just about every console with the exception of Atari. I love playing video games especially with friends and especially when I can get my girlfriend into playing.

Stay posted here as I bring all the information I can from the gaming and technology worlds.
